About
The trip should still be interesting after the photos load.
Trips for the Chat started as a private rule: if you cannot tell the story in a few messages, the itinerary was too loud.
This site publishes a small set of itineraries — long weekends and five-day first visits — written the way you would brief a friend who is actually going. Not a dump of pins. Not a packing-for-every-climate essay. A neighborhood to sleep in, a couple of moves that matter, and a backup when the road closes.
The name is literal. These trips are meant to be taken, then talked about. If you have one that already lives in a group chat, send it in.
The site runs on HostGator shared hosting from a public GitHub repo. New issues get written as regular pages, then pushed live.
